His name is synonymous with some of the most groundbreaking films in the history of Indian cinema. He’s directed more than 60 feature films including cult classics such as “Pushpak” and “Appu Raja,” and his films have been released in languages ranging from Hindi to Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and English. His career in the Indian film industry has spanned 50 years, throughout which his role has changed from director to writer, producer to music director and more. No novice to the world of animation, he’s already directed the 3D animation film “Son of Aladdin,” which caused quite a storm in the international market and film festivals – and now, as chairman, his expertise is being harnessed by SunAnimatics.

Having produced more than 1000 hours of programming for leading television networks such as SUN and Zee, Vinod Suryadevara is well equipped to conquer the world of animation and bring his creation, SunAnimatics, straight to the top. A recipient of the Technical Excellence Award from the State Government, Vinod formed Sun Animations with a sole intention – to fill the void of quality animation production houses in India and create entertaining animation films of international standards. With “Ghatothkach,” the first feature film from SunAnimatics already completed and numerous projects currently in development, Vinod is well on his way to achieving that goal.

 

Dominic chander
Vice-president - production

Dominic has more than 12 years of experience in the animation industry. He started his career with Pentamedia Graphics Limited and has worked extensively in 2 full length 3D animated movies apart from other projects. He continued his career with various animated projects and studios and was instrumental in setting up a 16 Camera Motion Capture Studio from Motion Analysis at TIL Studios.

He has held various positions and is vastly experienced in setting up the production pipeline and process for a project and the execution of the same. He was also extensively involved in setting up the motion capture production pipeline for various production studios in India.

Apart from his production management capabilities, he has also honed his technical skills and has led the production team through the technical difficulties.

 

Venugopal
Production Manager

Venu Gopal has more than six years of experience in the animation industry. He started his career as production co-ordinator in Color Chips India Ltd. Has completed nearly 700 minutes of 2D animated series under his supervision. Currently, working in Sun Animatics India Pvt Ltd as a Production Manager and has successfully completed the full length animated feature film "GHATOTHKACH"-Master of Magic.
